PROTESTERS PROTESTING IN PANDEMIC.

We are in more than 75^th day of lock-down due to this pandemic and all are worried about the daily decision taken by government which is directly affecting poor and middle class people in some way or other. Despite lock-down, some of youths are protesting against the decision of government and appealing to be good as a ruler and get us rid from this VIRUS as soon as possible. Actually , CORONA virus is not leading the people towards hunger and  starvation ; the portfolio made by government to minimize it is doing such.
To make you more clear about peace protest going on and analyzing frequently asked question ; we have collected some and presented our views : 

IS THERE POLITICAL INFLUENCE IN

THE PROTEST ?

 We are youths and if we are given veto to do something by someone who is  near to the government then it is like putting extra cheese on Pizza for us . We cannot say that they were influenced by some of the political leaders to  do so but according to some of the peoples who observed the protest carefully claim that there is some political influence. They are claiming that only a normal people single handedly cannot make group which involves 2 lakhs people within a week.

WILL THE PROTEST MAKE US FREE FROM VIRUS ?

Definitely not ! But, it will help to minimize it somehow . We can take the example of protest of more than 150 people held on Prime Minister KP OLI niwas Baluwatar. According to some of the protestors , they did such to address the supreme person. We must hope that our PM will not put oil in his ear rather than listening and fulfilling  our needs.    

WAS WATER CANONS AND BATONS USE NECESSARY ?

 Maybe or mayn't be necessary ! It is because all were informed about the protest and it was followed by protester and they all were wearing protective mask and other PPE ( Personal Protective Equipment). According to Kathmandu Post and other medias , we came to know that protesters requested police force and said they will stop it after 15 minutes but water canons burst was there . This made us to not to believe in our Nepali cops so easily.

IS THERE ANY RISK FACTORS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROTEST ?

In this situation, there is a definite risk to participate in any social or anti-social activities. If canon burst victim is you , then you are the person who should go through the problem and suffocation . So, make peer discussion and be polite towards nation and raise voice against national activities which tends to be third class. 
IS PEACE PROTEST GOING ON IS REALLY PEACEFUL?

Peace is the absence of violence. In two parties; if anyone of them broke the rule then it is obviously violating the peace. And the moment which was unexpected happened during the protest. Looking through the government point of view , there is lockdown and we must be in home with our family which sounds okay but In the good sense and all 3 crores Nepali point of view people are starving , jobless , quarantine tents are unmanaged and instead of increasing PCR test ; government is investing in RED CARPET which sounds very sad.

IS RD TEST EFFECTIVE?
 THIS WAS THE STRONGEST APPEAL BY THE PROTESTORS. LET'S DISCUSS ABOUT IT IN BRIEF :
RDT ; Rapid Diagnostic Test which costs about NRs. 200 gives result according to antibodies present in  the body. It is not the actual method to know whether the antibody of corona is present or not. And we know some cases where RDT test is negative and PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction ) can be positive which is dangerous issue. We are in second stage of this pandemic and this type of carelessness will take no time to lead us in 3^rd and 4^th stage. So, this is not an effective option .

In the context Nepal, there are more than 2 lakhs RDT test done and ( 200000*200) = Nrs. 4 crore and with this money we could do 2666 PCR test which is worthwhile.
Furthermore, we also appeal government to be more effective in this issue and fulfill the required needs  to our Nepali brothers and sisters who are homeless and manage the service and maintenance of quarantine so that death and rape in the quarantine tent will be controlled to some extent.
